On August 14, the Sikkim government has given instructions to increase the salary of assistant professors working on ad-hoc, temporary and contract basis in all private universities of the state. Non-regular assistant professors working on ad-hoc temporary and contract basis in the state will now be paid a minimum of ₹ 30,000. On August 14, a notification has been issued by the Sikkim government education department, which clearly states that all state private universities established in the state of Sikkim will provide a minimum of ₹ 30000 to the assistant professor.
This rule will be applicable to all non-regular assistant professors working under ad hoc, temporary and contract basis etc. Along with this, a huge increase in the salary of assistant professors will be recorded. Now they will be provided with a monthly minimum benefit of ₹ 30000.
