Actually, the Defense Ministry will give 40 days additional salary as productivity linked bonus to the eligible defense civilian employees of the Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) for the financial year 2023-24, which has been approved by the President. The ministry has also issued a notification related to this.
This is how bonus and salary will be calculated
This bonus will be given to the eligible defense civilian employees of the Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) on the basis of their performance. Let us tell you that the bonus will be given to all Group B (non-gazetted) and C civilian employees of AOC and Indian Army, who are covered under the PLB scheme. The limit of bonus calculation will be up to 7000. In such a situation, the value which comes after dividing the average salary of the employee by 30.4 will be multiplied by 30. To understand: Suppose an employee’s monthly salary is Rs 20,000. Then he will be paid around Rs 19,737 as bonus.
These are the rules for casual labour which will be applicable on this bonus
Note that all other conditions under the bonus limit and under the PLB scheme will remain applicable as before. At the same time, bonus payment for temporary workers (Casual Laborers) will be made on the basis of estimated salary of Rs 1200 per month. However, bonus for employees earning less than Rs 1200 will be decided on the actual salary.
