Since the introduction of Universal Account Number (UAN) in 2014, all processes related to EPF have been made easier. UAN is a 12 digit code. Customers must keep their UAN active to rectify mistakes. Apart from this, it is also necessary to have a valid Aadhaar card. The process of updating the PF takes place at two levels, one at the employee level and then the employer.

Explain that many times EPF withdrawal claims are rejected. One reason for the EPF withdrawal claim being rejected is the non-update of the bank account number and IFSC code on the EPFO member portal. Also, claims of the member may be rejected even if the signature of the member is not clear and does not match with the records available in the office.
