Know the balance with just one missed call
EPFO has also allowed its subscribers to know the balance by just giving a missed call. For this, you have to give a missed message on the EPFO number 011-22901406 from the mobile number registered with the EPF account. After this, the details of the balance amount are found in the message box in a few seconds.
Know the balance by SMS
If you want, you can know how much money is balance in EPF account by sending an SMS from your mobile. For this, you have to type in the message box from your registered mobile number and type – EPFOHO UAN LAN and send it to the number 7738299899. You will get the message of balance amount in the form of SMS.
You can also get information from EPFO website
If you want, go to the EPFO website – epfindia.gov.in and go to the EPF Passbook Portal on the home page and log in with your UAN number and password there and then click on Download / View Passbook. The passbook will open in front of you and you can see the balance.
There is a facility to see on the Umang app too
Umang (UMANG) is a very popular and useful app of the Government of India. You can check the balance by going on this also. For this, go to the EPFO present in the app. Then click on Employee Centric Services. Then select the view passbook and log in with the UAN to view the passbook.
Government of India decides interest
Every year the Government of India decides the rate of interest on the money deposited in the EPF account. The interest on EPF has been fixed at 8.50 percent for the financial year 2020-21.
