If you have left the job or job suddenly, then you can update the date of exit or the date of leaving the job online. The EPFO, the organization that manages the provident fund, has shared this information on social media platforms. It has explained the online ways.
Update online as
1. First login with the UAN and password on the portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ .
2. Once logged in, go to Manage and click on Mark Exit. Drop Down Under select employment of PF Account Number select
3. Then now Date of Exit and click on Reason of exit. Then click on Request OTP and enter the one time password i.e. OTP on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Now select the check box.
4. After this, click on update and click on OK. As soon as this is done, your Date of Exit gets updated.
Now Employees can also update their Date of exit.

Here select IPPB under the Services tab and then under the IPPB Service type tab choose Jeevan Certification Generation. This will save you from standing in line and will also save your precious time. Life certificate can be given by the pensioner throughout the year.
