New Delhi: The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has done a great job. EPFO ​​has settled 60% of the advance withdrawal claims automatically. In this way, 2.16 crore cases have been settled in this financial year. Last year 89.52 lakh claims were settled. Labor and Employment Minister Shobha Karandlaje gave this information in the Lok Sabha. He informed that the limit of advance payment has also been increased to Rs 1 lakh. This will make it even easier for people to avail the services of EPFO.

EPFO has taken several steps to make its work even easier. Now claims of categories like illness, house, education and marriage are also being settled automatically. According to the Labor Minister, with this auto mode, the claim gets cleared in three days. He said, ‘EPFO has settled 2.16 crore claims in this financial year till March 6, 2025. This is a record. In the last financial year 2023-24, 89.52 lakh claims were settled. This shows how serious EPFO ​​is about improving its work and meeting the needs of the people.

The process of correcting information has become easier

EPFO has also made the process of correcting the information of members easier. Members who have Aadhaar verified can make changes in their Universal Account Number (UAN) themselves. Now EPFO ​​does not need to interfere in this.

Nowadays, about 96% of the corrections are done without going to the EPF office. More than 99% of the claims are submitted online. Till March 2025, 7.14 crore claims have been filed online. This shows how much attention EPFO ​​is paying to working digitally.

Earlier, it was necessary to get the Aadhaar verified UAN attested by the employer for transfer claim. Now this rule has also been removed. This has made it very easy for the members.

Whether the claim is right or wrong… it is known in advance

Apart from this, EPFO ​​has also provided a facility for those members whose accounts were mistakenly linked to an institution. Now they can separate their account. This facility was started on January 18, 2025. By the end of February, more than 55,000 members have separated their accounts. All this is being done so that the accounts of the members are properly managed and they can control their own information.

EPFO has done another good job. Now it tells the members in advance whether their claim is correct or not. This can avoid filing wrong claims. This is called upfront validation.

With all these steps, EPFO ​​has made it very easy for its members to work. Now people can easily withdraw money from their PF and correct their information. EPFO ​​is constantly trying to provide better services to its members.
