How much amount can I withdraw from my EPF account under this new provision to fight against Kovid-19 and do I have to return this amount?
You can withdraw the non-refundable amount for three months of your basic salary and dearness allowance or up to 75% of the amount deposited in your EPF account, whichever is less. The amount deposited in the EPF account includes the employee’s share, the employer’s share and the amount of interest thereon. Since it is non-refundable, this amount will not be refunded
How can I claim this amount? Do I have to submit the claim form to the EPFO office?
Answer: If your UAN is verified with Aadhaar and KYC of bank account and your mobile number is seeded with your UAN then you can file this advance claim online like all other advances.
Where and how can I file a claim online?
Answer: On the home page of the website www.epfindia.gov.in under the tab “COVID-19” in the top right corner, instructions for filing advance claim online are given. . This process is given below:
- Login to Unified Portal Member Interface https://unifiedportalmem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface
Go to Online Services >> Claim (Form-31,19,10C & 10D) - Enter the last 4 digits of your bank account and verify
- Click on “Proceed for Online Claim”
- Select PF Advance from the drop down (Form 31)
- Select “Outbreak of pandemic (COVID-19)” as the purpose from the drop down
- Enter required amount and upload scan copy of check and enter your address
- Click on “Get Aadhaar OTP” (i) Enter the OTP received on the Aadhaar linked mobile

Answer: Yes, you can file a claim from your mobile phone as follows
i) Log in to (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface ) and file claim as A to J under question 9 regarding filing of claim
