The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has extended the implementation of the order to file Provident Fund (PF) returns by verifying the Universal Account Number (UAN) of Employees’ Provident Fund Fund with Aadhaar number till September 1, 2021. postponed for. This will give more time to the employers to link the Aadhaar number of their employees with their PF accounts or UAN number. Earlier, EPFO had set a deadline of June 1, 2021 for this work.
According to the office order issued by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), the deadline for filing electronic challan i.e. receipt of PF return (ECR) with Aadhaar verified UAN has been extended to September 1, 2021. The EPFO decided to make linking of Aadhaar number mandatory after a notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Labor.
These losses will happen if Aadhaar is not linked with UAN
If your Aadhaar is not linked with UAN, then you will suffer many other losses. Under this, you will not get the benefit of the facility of advance and will also be deprived of taking advantage of insurance. The government has made it necessary to link Aadhaar and PAN with your bank account, PPF account and EPF account under KYC.
In this way you can link UAN with Aadhaar
Log on to the official portal of EPFO - epfindia.gov.in – to link Aadhaar with EPF account.
Here click on ‘Online Services’ option and then click on ‘e-KYC Portal’ and ‘Link Aadhaar to UAN’.
After this enter your UAN number and registered mobile number.
As soon as you do this, OTP will come on your registered mobile number.
Now enter the OTP and your 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
After that click on ‘OTP Verify’ option and generate OTP on your registered mobile number of mail linked with your Aadhaar number for verification of your Aadhaar details.
On doing so, EPFO will contact your employers for authentication of your Aadhaar-EPF linking. Once the recruiter authenticates your Aadhaar seeding with your EPF account, your EPF account will be linked with your Aadhaar number.
