EPFO gave important information… Know which states increased salary, how many people are taking advantage of PF in epidemic

There has been an increase of 3.52 percent in EPFO ​​subscriber in February as compared to January 2021. Based on a year-on-year comparison, the payroll figures have increased by 19.63 percent in February 2021 as compared to February 2020. Out of the 12.37 lakh subscribers added during the month of February 2021, 7.56 lakh new members have come under the social security net of the EPFO ​​for the first time.

Apart from this, 4.81 lakh customers opted out of the scheme. But these people changed their jobs to work in other companies and have transferred their deposits under EPFO membership there. These people have opted to continue withdrawing money from EPFO account instead.

People of this age benefit more
The number of exiting members from EPFO ​​is based on exit data disclosed by individuals or companies and uploaded by companies, while the number of new customers is based on the Universal Account Number (UAN) marked in the system and is referred to as non – Zero membership is received.

An analysis by age shows that during February 2021, the highest enrollment of people in the age group of 22-25 has been registered with 3.29 lakh subscribers. This age group can be considered as experienced employees who changed jobs for career development and opted to stay with EPFO.

Which states increased salary more

Based on the category of industries, analysis shows that in February 2021, 4.99 lakh people chose the category of “expert services” the most. This is followed by around 84,000 customers in the category of trading-commercial establishments. Comparison of the entire country shows that Maharashtra, Haryana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are at the forefront of salary increase. These five states have contributed 54.81 percent of the total customers in all age groups by adding 38.14 lakh total customers during the current financial year.

2.60 lakh women employees joined

On the basis of gender, analysis shows that during the month of February 2021, there are about 2.60 lakh women customers, which is 21 percent of the number of new customers joining in February. There has been an increase of about 12.74 percent in January 2020 based on month-to-month comparisons. This data related to salary payment is fresh because updating of employees’ records is a continuous process. Therefore, the previous figures are updated every month.

Since April 2018, EPFO has been releasing payroll data for the period September 2017 and beyond. The published figures include those members who have joined the job during these months and whose contribution has been received.
