EPFO Higher Pension: The deadline given by EFFO to apply for higher pension ends on Tuesday (July 11). The company said that there is no possibility of extending this date again. EPFO Higher Pension: The deadline for employees to opt for the higher pension option through the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) will end in one day. Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made it clear that those who want higher EPF should apply by July 11. She concluded that the deadline has already been extended and there is no possibility of extension this time. Those who want higher pension should complete the application process by Tuesday. She said that there will be no other chance after that.
Employees applying for higher pension should have UAN number, Aadhaar card number, mobile number linked with Aadhaar, EPS numbers of all the companies you have worked in the past. The EPS joining dates and exit dates of previous companies should be exact.
As per paragraph 26 (6) of the EPS scheme, 1952, applicants for higher pension have to upload a joint request and undertaking from their employer, said Radhika Viswanathan, executive director, Deloitte Haskins and Sells LLP. Along with this, a copy of the PF pass book and a self-declaration that they will pay the higher amount of pension in the current organization than in the previous organization will also have to be submitted.
Indus Law Partner Vaibhav Bharadwaj said that those who do not have permission for joint request and undertaking can apply. Some documents were suggested as an alternative.
- Salary details submitted by the employer along with the application for validation of joint option
- Pay slip or letter from employer
- Copy of joint request and undertaking from employer.
- Letter issued by PF office before 4th November 2022 indicating higher pension
If the employee does not have any of these then the PF pass book can be uploaded as a proof document to verify the fact that the higher wages have been paid.
If anyone who wants to get higher pension after retirement has not yet applied for it then do so as soon as possible. Don’t miss the chance as there is only one day left for this deadline.It is not sure if EPFO will extend this deadline again so complete it by Tuesday.
