EPFO started Deposit interest, check your PF account balance in this way

EPFO : There is good news for subscribers of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). EPFO has started to pay a lump-sum of 8.5 percent interest in EPF accounts of about six crore shareholders for the financial year 2019-20.

The Labor Ministry had sent a proposal to the Finance Ministry to add 8.5 percent interest at a time to the EPF for 2019-20. After getting approval from the Finance Ministry, the process of putting it in subscribers has started. Here we are telling you four ways through which you can check the balance of your PF account.



It was decided in September that this amount of 8.5 percent interest would be sent in two installments (8.15 and 0.35 percent). But this month, the Labor Ministry had also asked the Finance Ministry for a proposal to deposit 8.5 percent interest in PF accounts for 2019-20. The Finance Ministry has approved it. Finance Minister Santosh Gangwar said that we have issued a notification for this. Simultaneously, the process of adding interest to the accounts of subscribers has started.

1. Via Umang App

It is a government app through which not just EPF, many other government services can be availed at one place.

1. First of all download the Umang App on your smartphone through the Play Store.

2. Register your phone number and login to the app.

3. Go to the menu in the top left corner and go to ‘Service Directory’.

4. Click here to search for EPFO ​​option.

5. After going to the View Passbook here, check your UAN number and balance through OTP.

2. Via SMS

1. It is necessary that your UAN number is registered with EPFO.

2. You must send ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ to 7738299899.

3. This service supports 10 different languages ​​including English, Hindi, Punjabi.

3. Through Miss-Call

1. Like SMS service, PF balance can also be known through mill call.



2. For this, miss-call the registered mobile number on 011-22901406.

3. Here also you must have UAN, PAN and Aadhaar link.

4. Through EPFO ​​portal

1. Log on to the EPFO ​​website. Click on e-passbook at epfindia.gov.in

2. On clicking on the e-passbook, a new page will come to passbook.epfindia.gov.in.

3. Here you have to fill your username (UAN number), password and captcha.

4. After filling all the details, they will come to a new page and the member ID will have to be selected here.

5. Here you will get your EPF balance on e-passbook.
