What Is An Uncovered Principal Employer?
The owner or manager of the company, who does not appoint an employee in the payroll of the company, employs an employee through a contractor.

As you would know that any establishment having 20 or more than 20 employees is covered under the EPFO, in such case, if the owner of a company does not have an employee on the parole of the company, or less than 20 or 20 employees It is not covered under EPFO, but employs an employee through a contractor.
What Is The New Update Of EPFO?
If you go to the unified portal’s Employer Login portal, you will get to see two new options-
- Uncovered Principal Employer Sign In
- Uncovered Principal Employer Registration
From the other option, Uncovered Principal Employer can register by giving his Establishment Details and NIC Code information, after which you can sign in by clicking on Uncovered Principal Employer Sign In button through your user name and password.
Uncovered Principal Employer Registration Benefits
As I said, the owners of such companies do not employ employees on the parole of the company, rather they employ employees through a contractor. In such a situation, many contractors tell the owner of the company that they are depositing the PF contribution of all their employees and the owner of the company did not have any tool to identify the truth.
But after registering after this new update, the owner of the company can login to the Unified Portal and add his contractor, after which he can track the Compliance and find out that the contractor is collecting the PF contribution of his employees Or not. With this, no contractor will be able to report wrong reports and employees will get the benefit of a scheme like EPF, along with the company owner will also get huge benefits.
