These days fund managers and investment advisors are talking a lot about ESG funds. ESG stands for Environment, Social and Governance. ESG funds invest in companies that meet high standards of environment, society and governance. Can investing in ESG theme be beneficial for you?

There are 8 ESG Mutual Funds available in the market right now. Right now three NFOs (New Fund Offers) are also open for subscription. The two recently launched NFOs are SBI International Access-US Equity FOF and HSBC Global Equity Climate Change Fund of Funds to be managed in a passive manner. Both these schemes will invest in funds focusing on ESG.




The top 10 holdings in the portfolio of most ESG schemes include HDFC Bank, TCS, Infosys and Kotak Mahindra.
