Expressway: Now Delhi to Dehradun can be covered in just 2.5 hours, see details immediately

Work on the fourth phase of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, which connects Dehradun to Rajaji National Park, is almost complete. This has been claimed in media reports. If everything goes according to plan, the work will be completed by June and a 12 km long stretch of road will be built.

The elevated part will be operational by July.

This expressway will be Asia’s longest wildlife corridor. For which a 12 km long elevated flyover is currently being constructed.

According to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the project will be completed by June 30. This expressway will connect Delhi to Dehradun via Saharanpur, Baghpat, Baraut and Shamli. The number of lanes in the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is six, which can be increased to eight.

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway travel time

With the construction of this expressway, the travel time will be reduced from 6.5 hours to 2.5 hours and the distance from 235 km to 213 km.

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway cost

Although a part of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is expected to be operational in July this year. But the construction of the entire highway is scheduled to be completed in May 2025. The media report said that about Rs 13,000 crore is likely to be spent on this project.

This many passengers will travel daily

After the expressway opens, officials expect the number of vehicles using this route to increase to 20,000 to 30,000 daily.
