Meta charge was implemented for the European Union and countries like Switzerland. After coming into effect from November 1, it was initially kept at 9.99 Euro (about Rs 880) per month. Also, iOS and Android users were asked to pay 12.99 euros (about Rs 1,100). However, now this has been reduced considerably. Still some organizations are opposing it.
