This new tool from Facebook will provide complete information about the Vaccination Center and their operation time using the data provided by the Ministry.
Facebook announced on Friday that it would begin rolling out the “Vaccine Finder” tool on its mobile app in India. The device has been developed in partnership with the Government of India and will be available in 17 local languages. The device will help people identify nearby locations to receive the vaccine.
It will use the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to provide complete information about the vaccination center and their time of operation. The tool will also provide a walk-in option and a link to make a registration on CoWin, the official Kovid vaccine portal for vaccination appointments. The tool is available on Facebook at the Covid-19 Information Center.
The social media platform said that it is supporting advertising credits and insights to non-governmental organizations and UN agencies in India, which can reach most people on Facebook with the Covid-19 vaccine and essential health information.
The platform said that they are working with UNICEF India to provide health care to people, so that emergency care and how to take precautions when getting mild Covid-19 symptoms at home.
