New Delhi: Before Diwali, the Ministry of Defense, Government of India has taken a big decision. Under this, the maximum limit of two family pensions to be given to the child has been increased. According to media reports, the Ministry of Defense has decided to increase its limit for children receiving family pension in the name of parents. In the case of employees of the Armed Forces, this decision will be effective from January 01, 2016.
According to several media reports, the Defense Ministry has decided to increase the maximum limit of two family pensions to be given to the child or children in respect of the parents as per the 7th Pay Commission. The maximum pension payment in government service after 7th CPC has been revised to Rs 2.5 lakh per month. The Ministry has implemented this order with effect from January 1, 2016 in respect of personnel of the Armed Forces with an order dated October 29, 2021.
According to several media reports, as per the order of the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare has revised the maximum limit of two family pension payable to one child or children in respect of both parents to Rs.1.25 lakh per month (Rs. 2.5 lakh for normal family pension). 50 per cent of pension at enhanced rate) and Rs 75,000 per month (30 per cent of normal family pension of Rs 2.5 lakh). This decision will be deemed to be effective from 1 January 2016.
