Hindi Famous Writer Mannu Bhandari Demised: Mannu Bhandari, the famous story writer and author of popular novels like Aapka Bunty, Mahabhoj, Ek Inch Muskaan, has passed away. She was 90 years old. It is noteworthy that Basu Chatterjee made the film ‘Rajnigandha’ on one of her popular stories ‘Yi Sach Hai’. Amol Palekar, Vidya Sinha and Dinesh Thakur played important roles in this hit film released in 1974. However, no information has been revealed about how she died so far. Mannu Bhandari gave many great stories and novels to Hindi literature. Mannu Bhandali had written a story ‘This is the truth’ but in the year 1974, Basu Chatterjee made a film named ‘Rajnigandha’. Mannu Bhandari’s most famous work is ‘Aapka Bunty’. Mannu Bhandari was born on 3rd April in the year 1931 in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. She was married to well-known litterateur Rajendra Yadav. In childhood, Manni was known as Mahendra Kumari.

But while writing, she chose her name as Mannu. One of her reasons behind choosing this name was that everyone used to call her by this name in childhood. During her lifetime, she was popular only by the name of Mannu Bhandari. Mannu Bhandari had worked as a professor at the prestigious Miranda House College in Delhi for a long time. Mannu Bhandari was rich in versatility. 5 story collections, 5 novels, 2 plays and 3 children’s compositions are prominent in her works.
