Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah participated in a religious program in Katra. During this, he also sang bhajans. Let us tell you that this program was organized at the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra. In this program, Farooq Abdullah can be seen and heard singing the line of the famous bhajan ‘Tune Mujhe Bulaya Sherawaliye’. This video of him is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

Farooq Abdullah visited Katra in Reasi district on Thursday. A person was singing bhajans inside the ashram. The singer handed over the mic to Farooq Abdullah and without any delay he sang the bhajan on the lyrics ‘Tune mujhe bulaya Sherawaliye, main aaya-main aaya Sherawaliye’. He was wearing a red colored chunari during this time.

Speaking at the event, Farooq Abdullah raised his voice in support of the people of Katra. Let us tell you that these people were protesting against the cable car project. He said, “Those who are managing the operation of the temple should avoid such steps that harm the local public or create problems for them.”

Abdullah criticised the cable car project, saying it was initiated without keeping the city’s well-being in mind. “You showed courage and fought valiantly to stop it. Now they have understood that power is in the hands of the people, not the government,” he said.

He further said, “People living in these hills depend on the blessings of the mother, but they have been ignored. Those who are in power think they are invincible, but they are not. When divine power prevails everything else pales. Just look at what is happening in California.”

He also said the basic teachings of every religion are the same, but it is exploited by people who have vested interests.
