FD interest rates: Big News! This bank has increased the FD rates, know now how much interest is being received on one year bank FD.

Punjab National Bank has increased the interest rates on FD. After this, PNB is giving maximum interest of 8.05 percent to the investors on FD. The new interest rates have come into effect from November 1.

There is good news for FD investors. Public sector Punjab National Bank has increased the interest rates of select tenure FDs of less than Rs 2 crore by 0.50 percent. After this increase, the bank will offer rates ranging from 3.5 percent to 7.25 percent to general citizens, 4.0 percent to 7.75 percent to senior citizens and 4.3 percent to 8.05 percent to super senior citizens on FDs for a period of 7 days to 10 years. Interest is being paid. According to the PNB website, these increased interest rates have come into effect from November 1, 2023.

There was a change in FD interest rates for which periods?

PNB has reduced the interest on FDs of 180 days to 270 days to 6.25 percent, which was earlier 5.8 percent. At the same time, the interest rate on FDs of tenure between 271 days to less than one year has been increased to 6.25 percent, which was earlier 5.8 percent.

The maximum interest being given by the bank on FD is 444 days. In this, interest of 7.25 percent is being given to general investors, 7.75 percent to senior investors and 8.05 percent to super-senior investors. Let us tell you, the bank is giving additional interest of base percentage to the investors between 60 years to less than 80 years. At the same time, the bank is giving 0.80 percent interest to very senior citizens.
