New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI) has once again extended the last date for investment in its special fixed deposit scheme ‘Amrit Kalash’ for retail customers. This FD scheme with a tenure of 400 days gives the highest returns along with many other benefits to the investors. SBI investors can invest in this scheme for the next 4 months to get the benefits.
When is the last chance to invest in SBI Amrit Kalash?
The last date to invest in SBI Amrit Kalash was till 15 August 2023, which the bank has extended till 31 December 2023. That is, now this scheme will be valid for investment for the next 4 months. According to the bank’s website, anyone can invest in the Amrit Kalash Special Scheme with a tenure of 400 days and get guaranteed returns.
What will be the interest rate on Amrit Kalash investment?
According to State Bank of India, ordinary citizens investing in the bank’s Amrit Kalash Special FD scheme will get 7.10% interest rate. At the same time, senior citizens will be given an interest rate of 7.60%. This investment scheme is open for investment till 31 December 2023. During this period any person can book the scheme online or offline.
Mode of payment of interest
According to SBI Bank, interest payouts are offered at monthly, quarterly and half-yearly intervals to the investors of Amrit Kalash FD. On maturity of SBI Amrit Kalash, the interest amount after deducting TDS will be added to the customer’s account.
Premature withdrawal rules and loan facility
According to the SBI website, interest rate of 0.50% to 1% less than the bank applicable rate can be deducted as penalty for withdrawing deposits in Amrit Kalash FD before the tenure of 400 days. At the same time, Amrit Kalash also provides bank loan facility to the investors in lieu of FD.
