February Bank Strike: Banks across the country will remain closed for two days in February, know the reason

Bank Strike February: The All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) said in a statement that the executive committee has proposed a two-day nationwide strike, most likely scheduled for February 24-25, 2025. Let’s know what are the further updates about this.

February Bank Strike: Bank officers’ association AIBOC has threatened to go on a nationwide strike on February 24-25 over various demands including a five-day working week and adequate recruitment in all cadres. Apart from this, the union has demanded immediate withdrawal of the recent instructions of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) on performance review and PLI, which threaten job security and create divisions among employees.

Apart from this, emphasis was also laid on filling up the posts of employee/officer directors in public sector banks and resolving the remaining pending issues with the IBA. The All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) said in a statement that the executive committee has proposed a two-day nationwide strike, most likely scheduled for February 24-25, 2025.

According to AIBOC, if needed, more stringent measures can be taken. Agitation programs will start after receiving the strike notice this month. The union alleged that the autonomy of the respective boards is being weakened by the micro-management of public sector banks in policy matters by the DFS.
