Flight Banned Items: Big Update! Passengers going to this country will not be able to take all these things on the flight, check list here

If you are traveling from India to UAE, then let us tell you that now you will not be able to carry ghee, pickles and many other things in your check-in luggage. Recently, a list has come out in which it has been told about all the things which you cannot take with you in the flight while going to UAE.

Most of the Indian people who live abroad, while returning from India, take many things like pickles, papad etc. with them. All these are not just things but a love which reminds people of their country and family from time to time. Besides, living in a foreign country and using local things has its own fun. But if you live in UAE or are traveling here, then you will no longer be able to take all these things with you.

Recently, a list of banned items has been released during air travel from India to United Arab Emirates (UAE). Some of the prohibited items often found in check-in baggage include desiccated coconut, fireworks, flares, party poppers, matchsticks, paint, fire camphor, ghee, pickles and other oily food items.

There are some other items which are considered an offense to travel with, they include e-cigarettes, lighters, power banks and spray bottles. These objects can usually cause an explosion.

Many passengers traveling from India to UAE are not aware that carrying all these things in the flight is banned. Taking all these things in flight is considered dangerous because they increase the chances of an explosion in flight. Last year, 943 dry coconuts were found in the check-in luggage of passengers in one month. Let us tell you that due to the high amount of oil in dry coconut, the chances of fire are very high.

These things are included in the banned goods-

  1. Desiccated coconut
  2. Fireworks
  3. Flares
  4. Party poppers
  5. Matchbox
  6. Paint
  7. Kapoor
  8. Ghee
  9. Pickle
  10. Oily foods
  11. E cigarette
  12. Lighter
  13. Power bank
  14. Spray bottle

In March 2022, the Civil Aviation Security Bureau included desiccated coconut in its list of prohibited items. Despite this, many passengers are still not aware of this. The increasing number of bags being detained at check-in shows that regular passengers are not aware of prohibited or dangerous items on flights.

Officials are now requesting passengers to try and understand the rules given by the airport or airlines as to what things are allowed to be carried and what are not. This action is being taken at a time when the India-UAE aviation corridor is the busiest, with many Indians traveling to Gulf countries for work or holidays. Apart from this, an increase in the number of passengers is also being seen as the holiday season approaches.
