Flight luggage rules changed, know how many and which bags you can carry with you now

If you reach the airport without knowing about them, then you may have to face trouble. Actually, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has changed the hand bag policy.

What is the new hand bag policy

According to the new rule, passengers will now be able to carry only one hand bag inside the flight. A big change has been made in the rules of luggage in the flight. Under the new rule of BCAS, now passengers will be allowed to carry only one hand bag or cabin bag inside the flight. This rule will be applicable on both domestic and international aircraft. Apart from a handbag, all the banks will have to get it checked. The rules have been changed due to the increasing number of passengers.

• BCAS and CISF deployed for airport security have now tightened the rules. Due to the strictness, Reliance has also changed its rules.
• According to Air India, premium economy and economy class passengers are allowed to carry a maximum of 7 kg hand bag, while the limit for business or first class passengers has been kept at 10 kg.
• The size of the baggage should not exceed 40 CM (length), 20 CM (width) and 55 CM (height). Apart from one hand bag, all other bags will have to be checked in.
• Indigo Airlines has also stated its hand baggage rules. Indigo passengers can carry one cabin bag. The size of the bag should not exceed 115 cm and the weight should be up to 7 kg.

You can also carry a personal bag, such as a lady’s purse or a small laptop bag, whose weight should not exceed 3 kg. Indigo allows you to carry two bags – one cabin bag and one personal bag. If you do not follow the rules, you may have to pay extra charge or fine.
