Direct flight from Hyderabad to Ayodhya will be stopped
A source at the GMR Group-run Hyderabad International Airport said, “SpiceJet has discontinued its direct flight service from Hyderabad to Ayodhya from June 1.”
Three services a week
SpiceJet airline was operating these flight services from the Telangana capital to Ayodhya thrice a week.
A SpiceJet spokesperson said in a statement that the flight schedule is driven entirely by commercial considerations and demand. However, we are still operating services from Ayodhya to Chennai.
Service was started in view of Ram Mandir
Flight services were started in view of the possibility of increased passenger traffic after the construction of a grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. SpiceJet also operated a special flight from Delhi to Ayodhya on January 21 for people attending the Ram Mandir Prana-Pratishtha ceremony.
