Flight Ticket Discount: If you are also planning to travel by plane then there is good news for you because bumper discount is available on flight tickets.
Flight Ticket Discount: This year, passengers traveling by plane on Diwali are getting a bumper discount on flight tickets. According to a report, there has been a 20 to 25% drop in tickets for traveling by domestic flights. The number of passengers traveling by flight is increasing day by day. Along with this, there is also a decline in the prices of airplane fuel. Due to this, passengers are being given huge discounts on tickets.
Use of dynamic pricing algorithm
Airline companies use dynamic pricing algorithm, under which the fare is increased when the demand increases. Especially the fare is increased on holiday festivals like Holi and Diwali. However, this time a decline is being seen. Diwali is one of the biggest festivals in India and many people travel with family or to celebrate holidays. Due to this surge in demand for tickets, prices increase as airlines change the fare based on the amount of booking.
20-25% drop on domestic routes
Analysis by travel portal ixigo has shown that average airfares on domestic routes have dropped by 20-25%. Alok Bajpai, CEO of ixigo Group, told news agency PTI, “Last year, airfares around Diwali had surged due to limited capacity, the biggest reason for which was the suspension of Go First Airlines. However, this year we have seen some relief. Because since then extra capacity has been added, which has led to a 20-25% drop in average airfares on major routes in the last week of October.”
Flight tickets on this route have become cheaper the most
According to the analysis, the maximum drop in average airfare has been 38% for the Bengaluru-Kolkata flight, which has come down from Rs 10,195 last year to Rs 6,319 this year. On the other hand, the ticket price on the Chennai-Kolkata route has dropped by 36% from Rs 8,725 to Rs 5,604.
The average airfare for Mumbai-Delhi flight has dropped by 34% from Rs 8,788 to Rs 5,762. Similarly, the ticket price on the Delhi-Udaipur route has dropped by 34% from Rs 11,296 to Rs 7,469. The drop is 32% on the Delhi-Kolkata, Hyderabad-Delhi and Delhi-Srinagar routes.
15% drop in oil prices
According to Bajpayee, a 15% drop in oil prices this year has also contributed to this downward trend. This is providing more affordable options to travellers during the festive season.
