Passengers are not liking the increase of 200 per cent in comparison to the earlier fare. Ticket hike is common during holidays. Travel experts say that the price of tickets between India and UAE starts increasing in July and the price remains high till the beginning of September.
Increase in ticket fares for India
For example, tickets for August 20 from Mumbai to Dubai cost Dh890-Dh1,000, which is Dh500 more than now. Delhi-Dubai flights cost as much as Dh1,073, which normally works out to Dh520. At the same time, the price is also high for South India. Fares to Kerala can range from Dh1,288 to Dh2,277 to Dh600-Dh1,000 in the off-season. It is believed that there may be a reduction in ticket fares after mid-September.
