A big air show is to be held in the confluence of Prayagraj on the foundation day of the Air Force. President Draupadi Murmu is expected to attend this program. In view of the air show and the rehearsals before it, flight operations from Prayagraj Airport will be affected for several days in October in view of the arrival of Air Force aircraft. There are preparations to cancel flights in many cities. Coordination meetings are going on between top Air Force officers and the Airport Authority.
At present, flights from Prayagraj Airport to Indore, Raipur, Lucknow and Dehradun have been canceled from October 3 to 8. Airlines have stopped booking for flights to these cities on these dates. It is being said that flights from more cities will be canceled on select dates. Plans are also being made to change the timings of some flights.
Not only will planes and helicopters perform stunts in the air show, preparations will also be made by the Air Force before this. There will be flights from Bamrauli Air Force to Sangam. Fighter aircraft will reach here from Gwalior, Hindon, Bareilly airbases. In such a situation, full dress rehearsal will be held on October 6 before the air show. For this reason, flights from Prayagraj to Lucknow, Dehradun, Raipur and Indore have been cancelled. Flights from many more cities may be canceled within the coming week.
Police have banned kites and drones in view of security. There will be no kite flying anywhere. Actually, kite flyers reach the parade area every day and fly kites there. Due to this event, kite flying has been banned. Apart from this, management of traffic arrangements and parking is being done. Water police has also been alerted. Apart from water police, NDRF and SDRF personnel will be deployed around Sangam Nose. Keeping security in mind, the water police will also be armed with weapons and ready.
