Vistara’s crisis

This was related to a dispute between the airline’s management and cabin crew members. The cabin crew had accused the management of violating the rules. Before that, Air India Express Employees Union had written a letter to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and made several complaints against the management.
Last month, another airline company of Tata Group, Vistara, was also in trouble. Hundreds of Vistara flights had to be canceled due to pilots’ resignation and mass leave. Due to the new job contract and the plan to merge Vistara with Air India, a large number of senior pilots were going on sick leave. Vistara commanders were also worried about their seniority and slots for domestic and international flights if the airline merged with Air India. Besides, he was also worried about the new contract.
