Siddharth Shriram, an industrialist and former chairman of Usha International, died on Monday due to a corona infection. People associated with the family gave this information. He was 76 years old.
Shriram, who was on the board of directors of Usha International after being removed from the executive role, was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for treatment of Kovid-19 infection. Industrialist Shriram Mavana Sugars Ltd. chairman with a multi-faceted personality. He was also the chairman of Usha International, a manufacturer of sewing machines and home appliances such as fans, coolers.
He was also the chairman of the Delhi Policy Group, an institute dealing with research on international and strategy issues. Shri Ram was born on January 18, 1945. He did his schooling from Welham School and Doon School in Dehradun. He did his bachelor’s degree in English from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. He was also a Sloan Fellow (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) at MIIT, USA. He also held various administrative positions in sports and industry organizations. He had a special passion for golf.
