For this, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in the year 2016. Through this scheme, the Government of India provides gas connections for free. Only these women get the benefit

Under the Ujjwala scheme of the Government of India, only women living below the poverty line get the benefit. Along with this, to get the benefit of the scheme, the age of women must be 18 years or more. To take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, it is necessary to have a BPL card.

Apart from this, the bank account of the beneficiary women must be linked to their Aadhaar card. Apart from this, women must also have documents like Aadhaar card, ration card, BPL card, passport size photo, photocopy of bank account, age certificate, mobile number. Women who do not have these documents will not get the benefit of the scheme.

Women can apply online for Ujjwala Yojana. For this, you have to go to the official website www.pmuy.gov.in. Then on the home page, you have to click on the option of ‘Apply for PMUY Connection’. After this, a dialogue box will open in front of you. In which there will be many options, in these options there will be links of different gas companies.

You can click on the gas company from which you want to get the cylinder. After this, a page will open in front of you in which you will have to enter your name, distributor’s name, your mobile number, your address, pin code and other information. After this, you will have to click on apply and your application will be submitted.
