Free LPG Cylinder On Holi: Uttar Pradesh government had announced to provide 2 free LPG cylinder refills in a year to the beneficiaries of Ujjawala Yojna. Under this, the first free cylinder was given on Diwali, while the second will now be available on the occasion of Holi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently announced to reduce the price of LPG Cylinder by Rs 100 in the cabinet meeting. After this, now the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift of Holi to the Ujjwala beneficiaries of the state. More than 1 crore families of the state will get free LPG Cylinder on the festival from the government.
Beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme benefit
Holi, the festival of colors, will be given free gas cylinder to the people of Uttar Pradesh. This announcement has been made by the Yogi Adityanath government of the state. This will directly benefit 1.75 crore families of the state. Actually, this free cylinder will be the second phase of the government’s announcement in which it had promised to provide 2 free LPG cylinders in a year. The beneficiaries of the Centre’s Ujjwala Yojana will get the benefit of free cylinder.
Free cylinders were also given on Diwali
Earlier, Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh had given free cylinders to Ujjwala beneficiaries on Diwali also. To provide this benefit, the Yogi Adityanath government had announced a budget of Rs 2312 crore in the budget for the financial year 2023-24 and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath) launched the scheme on November 10, 2023, simultaneously with the Ujjwala beneficiaries. Approval was given to transfer subsidy amount to the accounts. Now under this scheme, it has been announced that the second free gas cylinder will be given on the occasion of Holi.
Central government is giving subsidy of Rs 300
After this announcement of the government, Holi of the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana is going to become even more colorful. It is noteworthy that in the current financial year, the beneficiaries of PM Ujjawala Yojana are being given a subsidy of Rs 300 by the Central Government. Apart from this, the Uttar Pradesh government is providing relief to the public by providing free LPG cylinders (refills) during Holi and Diwali.
1.31 crore cylinders delivered so far
In the first phase of this scheme of the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, 80.30 lakh free cylinder refills were delivered on the occasion of Diwali from November 1, 2023 to February 15, 2024, while from January 1 till now, 50.87 lakh cylinders have been delivered. . That means around 1.31 crore LPG Cylinder Refills have been delivered.
