Yes, the Naib Singh Saini government of Haryana is planning to give a big gift to the people of low income group. A draft of the plan to provide 100 yards of land is being prepared by the state government to help such people build houses. Recently, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini had said that under the ‘Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana’, two lakh eligible beneficiaries will soon get 100 square yards of land plot.
Eligible applicants without land will get benefit
According to an official statement, ‘The dream of two lakh people in Haryana to have their own house is going to come true. In this regard, the government of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is preparing a complete blueprint of the scheme.’ Under this initiative, eligible applicants without land will be given a plot of 100 square yards in villages. The statement said that five lakh people have applied for land in the state under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme. All eligible beneficiaries will get plots of 100 square yards in different phases. Out of which two lakh people are expected to get benefits soon.
Financial assistance will also be available under PM Housing Scheme
According to the statement, the government has made a provision to help the beneficiaries to build houses on plots of 100 square yards. Financial assistance will also be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) to help the beneficiaries build their own houses. It said that J Ganesan, Director General of the ‘Housing for All’ Department, held a meeting with the officials of the department to give necessary guidelines. Ganesan said that the objective of the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme is to provide plots to those low-income families in the state who do not have their own house.
The scheme will improve the lifestyle of poor families
He said that the objective of the scheme is to benefit these families so that they can build their own house. Ganesan was quoted in the statement as saying, ‘The successful implementation of the scheme will improve the lifestyle of poor families, so that they can live a safe and respectable life in their homes.’ In the meeting, he directed the officials to expedite all the processes related to the scheme so that the eligible people can get its benefits soon.
Last week, the Chief Minister had held a meeting with senior officials and directed that all the necessary facilities like paved roads, electricity, clean drinking water, street lights, parks and open green spaces should be ensured in the areas where 100 square yard plots will be allotted.
