New Delhi: Many types of government schemes are being run by the Central and State Government across the country, from free ration scheme to PM Kisan for the general public.
Now the state government has given gifts to more than 1.4 crore families. The Rajasthan government has now decided to provide Free Annapurna Food kit Scheme every month. This scheme has been launched on 15 August.
All these including pulses, sugar, oil will be available free-
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot government has given information about this. The Chief Minister has said that the Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme is being started. This scheme will benefit more than 1.04 crore families. It will get free Annapurna kit every month which will include pulses, sugar, salt, edible oil, chili, coriander and turmeric.
Packets will be distributed every month-
Speaking on the occasion, CM Gehlot said that the state government is taking its decisions with the intention of providing maximum relief to the public. Under the scheme, free Annapurna food packets will be distributed every month to more than 1.04 crore families of the state.
Decision taken keeping the poor in mind
Gehlot was addressing the launch ceremony of this scheme at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur and distributed food packets to the beneficiaries. He said that the state government is taking decisions keeping the poor in mind, which is now being discussed all over the country.
The state government has provided relief to the general public by putting all the public welfare schemes on the ground. He said, these public welfare schemes are not freebies, but it is the responsibility of a democratic government towards the general public.
No one will sleep hungry
Aimed at realizing the resolution of ‘No one sleeps hungry’, this Annapurna food packet contains one kilogram of chana dal, sugar and iodized salt, one liter of soybean refined edible oil, 100 grams of chili powder and coriander powder, and 50 grams of turmeric .
The Chief Minister said that many needy families remain deprived due to the ceiling fixed by the Government of India in the National Food Security Scheme.
Financial assistance of Rs 5000 was given to these people-
Financial assistance of Rs 5,500 was provided to about 32 lakh NFSA and non-NFSA families after survey of destitute families during Covid.
He said that the non-NFSA families who were given financial assistance during Kovid will also be provided free ration kits under the Annapurna Ration Kit scheme.
Enhanced commission of ration dealers-
He urged the Central Government that instead of increasing the distribution of ration for six months repeatedly, it should be implemented in a regular manner. He said that the commission of ration dealers who distribute Annapurna food packets has been increased from Rs 4 to Rs 10 per packet.
New districts will be created in the state-
The Chief Minister said that new districts have been created in the state, due to which the administrative and financial works will speed up. “A law has been made in the state to guarantee the right to minimum income and health, which is not in any other state in the country. A law has been made for the welfare and safety of gig workers who provide services on contract.”
Smartphones being distributed to girls and women
He said that discussions are being held across the country on restoring the old pension scheme for government employees. Social security pension of minimum Rs.1000 per month is being given to one crore people in the state.
Apart from this, a provision has also been made for automatic increase of 15 percent every year. Under the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana, 40 lakh girls and women are being given smartphones in the first phase.
Gehlot said that the state government is aiming to include Rajasthan in the list of leading states by 2030. In this, the participation of all the people of the state is important. He said that the formal launch of Mission 2030 will happen soon and a vision document will be prepared.
