In Rajasthan, the Devasthan Department has started the applications for the Free Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2024-25. In which all the elderly people above 60 years of age and native residents of Rajasthan can apply.
Rajasthan News: Applications for the Free Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2024-25 run by the government in Rajasthan have started. The Devasthan Department said that the elderly can apply for new applications till September 19. This year, the department will make 30 thousand senior citizens visit 15 religious places by train and 6 thousand elderly people will visit Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu by plane. Applications for the pilgrimage scheme have started on the department’s website from Wednesday. This time the department has made a special change in the scheme, this time the elderly can choose the pilgrimage site as per their wish. Only those people can apply in this scheme whose age is more than 60 years and they are natives of Rajasthan.
Old applicants included
Devasthan Department Commissioner Vasudev Malavat said that the process of new application has started. Complete transparency will be maintained in this. The journey will be conducted on time. Also, the commissioner said that the senior citizens who had applied for the trip in the year 2022 and could not go in the year 2023-24 are also being included this time. The old senior citizens do not need to apply afresh this time.

The pilgrimage includes Rameswaram – Madurai, Jagannathpuri – Tirupati, Dwarkapuri – Somnath, Vaishnodevi – Amritsar, Prayagraj – Varanasi, Mathura – Vrindavan, Sammedshikhar – Pawapuri, Ujjain – Omkareshwar, Gangasagar – Kolkata Kamakhya – Guwahati, Haridwar – Rishikesh and other pilgrimages. Apart from these, Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Vaidyanath Mahadesh Jyotirlinga (Jharkhand), Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga (Nashik), Shravanabelagola (Karnataka) have been included.
