The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the officials that quality education should be provided in all schools by ensuring student-teacher ratio as per the National Education Policy.

‘Teachers should be recruited in proportion to the number of students’

CM Saini said that a comprehensive plan should be prepared by rationalizing the arrangements for teachers in schools, so that if there is a shortage of teachers in any school, it can be met. There is no shortage of teachers. Only the deployment of teachers will be ensured according to the number of students. All arrangements should be completed before the new academic session.

While reviewing the Higher Education Department, the Chief Minister directed the officials to submit a report on the facilities including infrastructure in every college, so that any kind of deficiency can be removed as soon as possible. He said that a framework should be prepared to make arrangements for the preparation of competitive examinations through smart class rooms in colleges. This will also enable the children of rural areas to get better arrangements for the preparation of competitive examinations.

Number of Model Sanskriti Schools should be increased:

CM Saini said that Haryana Government has opened Model Sanskriti Schools at block level, which are affiliated to CBSE Board. In these schools, children are being taught Mathematics and Science along with English Medium. There is a competition to get admission in these schools, hence the number of Model Sanskriti Schools should be increased at block level. He also directed that basic facilities like drinking water, toilet arrangements and cleanliness should be taken care of in schools and colleges.

Gita’s teachings will be provided, children will learn values

He said that Gita should be included in the syllabus till class 8 to make children cultured and provide them education and knowledge of culture. The buildings of the colleges which are being constructed should be completed as soon as possible. Also, it should be ensured that students do not face any problem in the college classes running in the other building till the construction of the buildings is completed. Confidence should be awakened among the public towards government schools.

The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to give the authority to issue tenders to XEN level officers for the works of the engineering wing of the Education Department. Strict action should be taken against those contractors who do not complete the work within the stipulated time. In the meeting, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda instructed the officials to pay special attention to the distribution of teaching material in schools. The Education Minister directed that instructions should be issued to teachers posted on the same post in field offices for many years to go to schools and teach the students.

Children will be tracked even after 12th:

The Chief Minister said that every child studying in schools should be tracked to see which institution he is studying in after 12th class. If any child is studying outside Haryana, then information about him should also be kept so that no child of the state is deprived of the basic right to education.
