Passengers can now buy general tickets online
The crowd of passengers purchasing reserved tickets for rail travel is already decreasing at the ticket counters. Like reserved tickets, now passengers can also buy general tickets online. Passengers can buy unreserved tickets from the UTS app without visiting the ticket window. For this they are constantly being made aware.
UTS app has been downloaded on the mobile numbers of more than 1500 passengers at Bareilly Junction of Northern Railway. Apart from this, automatic ticket vending machines are also being used by the passengers in making unreserved tickets.
On Dhanteras, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhaiya Dooj and Chhath Puja, crowd will increase in trains as well as at ticket counters. In such a situation, passengers will have to stand in line for a long time to buy tickets, but to save passengers from these problems, Railways is making people aware about getting paperless tickets through the UTS app.
Now you can’t see long lines at ticket windows
Leaving aside the issue of any special festivals, now long lines are not seen at the reserved and unreserved windows of the railway junction.
