The state government will give the increased Dearness Allowance amount to the employees in October along with two months arrears. The Bihar cabinet has recently approved this decision. Along with this, the announcement of increase in Dearness Allowance in Madhya Pradesh can be done soon. The MP government will issue an order to give dearness allowance to 7 lakh employees and dearness relief allowance to pensioners in October.
On the other hand, 11 percent increase in Dearness Allowance has been announced in Uttarakhand. The cabinet has issued its notification on Friday evening. With this, the salary of government employees will increase in October. According to the official spokesperson, the employees of Uttarakhand will get the same DA as the center from October. This will cost the state Rs 150 crore per month. More than 15 lakh employees and pensioners will benefit from the increase in DA in these states.
How much will be the benefit
Harishankar Tiwari, former President of AG Office Brotherhood, which calculates Dearness Allowance, has calculated the salary of 7th Pay Matrix Level 1 employee, which is as follows:
Basic Salary: Minimum Rs 18,000 per month
Dearness Allowance (17%) which was getting earlier = Rs 3060 per month
How much was the increase in DA (11 percent) = Rs 1980 per month
Total DA (28 percent) will now be available = Rs 5040 per month
House Rent Allowance (HRA) = Rs 5400 per month
Transport Allowance (TA) (if you live in metro like Delhi) = Rs 1728 per month
Total Salary : Rs 30,168 per month (Excluding other Perks) will be made
How much increased TA and HRA
According to Harishankar Tiwari, there has been a strong increase in HRA and TA due to increase in dearness allowance. In the HRA of Level 1 employee, who lives in X category city, there is a benefit of about Rs 540 per month. However, the minimum HRA is fixed in these cities. On the other hand, Transport Allowance (TPTA Cities) has increased by about Rs 230 per month.
