Having trouble getting a driver’s license? Good news for you though! You can soon get a driving license without any test. To this end, the Central Government has prepared a draft notification for Driving Training Center Accreditation Centers. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued draft notification for accreditation of driver training centers.

The draft notification regarding the accreditation (recognition) of driving training centers outlines the procedures to be followed by the training centers to impart quality training. The draft states that those who have completed training at these centers will not have to appear for the driving test again, especially when applying for a driving license.
The center says the decision will help train the best drivers, which will also reduce road accidents. The draft, issued on the 29th of last month, has been posted on the Department of Transport’s website for public comment. The Union Ministry of Transport has set a target of halving road accidents by 2025.
