New Delhi: Axis Bank has given great relief to its customers. The bank said that henceforth there will be no penalty for the closure of premature fixed deposits (premature FDs). The bank said that on or after December 15, 2020, all the customers who have fixed FD will get the benefit of this facility. Explain that your fixed deposit should be for 2 years or more, only then you will get the benefit of this facility.

Which customers will benefit
The bank announced today that the penalty is being withdrawn on premature closure of all new retail term deposits booked for a period of 2 years or more. Axis Bank said, its objective is to encourage retail customers to save longterm without worrying about the sudden needs of liquidity.

>> New FD and Recurring Deposits will be applicable.
>> For new deposits booked for more than 2 years, premature penalty will not be levied.
>> Even if the entire deposit is withdrawn 15 months after booking, there will be no penalty.
How much interest is received on FD?
The bank is currently giving interest ranging from 2.5 per cent to about 5.50 per cent on fixed deposits to customers. Apart from this, when talking about senior citizens, they are getting interest benefit from 2.5% to 6.50% on FD. Giving

Pravin Bhatt said that we are taking full care of the changing needs of our customers. Along with this, we are also working on new features. In view of this, we have waived the fine on all FDs closed after 15 months.
