According to the order of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), central employees will now get the benefit of LTC in Vande Bharat, Tejas and Humsafar trains as well, till now they were getting this benefit in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains.
What is the new order
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said in its order that central employees will be able to travel by Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains under Leave Travel Concession (LTC). The Center has allowed employees to travel by Tejas, Vande Bharat trains under LTC.
Travel in premium trains
The Center has allowed its employees to travel by Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains under Leave Travel Concession (LTC). This step has been taken after the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) received several suggestions from various offices / individuals regarding the acceptability of various premium trains under LTC. In an order issued on Tuesday, the DoPT said, this department looked into the matter in consultation with the Department of Expenditure and it has been decided that apart from the existing Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, now travel will be allowed in Tejas Express, Vande Bharat Express and Humsafar Express trains under LTC as per the eligibility of government employees.
