New Delhi: E-Vehicles: To promote electric vehicles in the country, the central government is already implementing many policies, giving many concessions and incentives. Under the FAME-2 policy, the government has also increased the subsidy so that people can get electric vehicles at an affordable price. Now the government has announced another relief for electric vehicles.
RC fee waived for e-vehicle
The Ministry of Road Transport has waived the registration certificate fee for battery operated vehicles i.e. electric vehicles, that is, if you are thinking of buying an electric vehicle, whether it is a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler, for its registration. You do not have to pay fees. If you already have an e-vehicle, then you do not have to pay any fee for it even for RC renewal. A notification has been issued by the ministry regarding this.
Many states implemented e-vehicle policy
A statement issued by the ministry said that it has also exempted battery operated vehicles from paying the fee for giving new registration marks. The ministry has done all this to promote e-mobility. Let us tell you that to promote electric vehicles, many big states like Delhi, Mumbai, Rajasthan and Gujarat have implemented their own e-vehicle policy.
States are also giving huge subsidy
Electric vehicles in Delhi get the highest subsidy in the whole country. In this subsidy, you can benefit up to 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees. According to the Rajasthan Transport Department, the government will compensate the SGST amount on the purchase of electric vehicle. Under this, the amount of one-time grant will be given according to the battery power of four wheelers including all electric two-wheelers and three wheelers. Similarly, the Maharashtra government is also giving subsidies and incentives to promote electric vehicles. According to the policy, an incentive plan of up to Rs 10,000 will be given on 1 lakh electric two-wheelers. While an incentive of up to Rs 30,000 will be given on 15,000 electric three-wheelers. Apart from this, there is a plan to give an incentive of up to Rs 30,000 on 10,000 goods electric three wheelers.
