Actually, the Modi government has approved 8.5 percent interest for the financial year 2020-21. According to media reports, if the PF amount is not transferred this week, then 8.5 percent interest for the financial year 2020-21 can be sent to your account in early August 2021.
After the approval of the Ministry of Labor, money will be deposited in the account of EPFO subscribers at the rate of 8.5 percent. Last time in the financial year 2019-20, many subscribers had to wait a long time due to the disturbance in KYC. Explain that the EPFO had decided to retain the interest rates (Interest on PF) for the financial year 2020-21 at 8.5 percent without any change. This is the lowest interest rate in the last 7 years. Earlier in the year 2012-13, the government had given interest at the rate of 8.5 per cent.

if your Universal Account Number (UAN) is registered with the EPFO your PF balance information will be available through message. For this, you have to send EPFOHO to 7738299899. If you want information in Hindi, then you have to send it by writing EPFOHO UAN. This service to know PF balance is available in English, Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali. To know the PF balance, it is necessary to link your UAN with bank account, PAN and Aadhaar (AADHAR).
You can also check balance by giving missed call
You have to give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. After this, by sending a message to EPFO, you will be provided with the information of PF balance. Here also your UAN must be linked with PAN and Aadhaar.

>> Log on to EPFO website, click on e-passbook at epfindia.gov.in.
>> On clicking on e-passbook, a new page will come to passbook.epfindia.gov.in.
>> Here you have to fill your User Name (UAN Number), Password and Captcha.
>> After filling all the details, you will come to a new page and here you will have to select the member ID.
>> Here you will get your EPF balance on e-passbook.
>> You can also check balance on UMANG App
>> Open your UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) and click on EPFO.
>> You have to click on Employee-centric services on another page.
>> Click on View Passbook here. Enter your UAN number and Password (OTP) number. OTP will come to you on your registered mobile number. After this you can check your PF balance.
