India’s first CNG Tractor: The country’s first CNG-powered tractor has been launched on Friday. This will reduce pollution and expenditure will be much less than diesel. This tractor will be available in the market soon
At the time of tractor launch, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari told that farmers will now be able to fit CNG kits in their old tractors too. Detailed information about this will be released soon. He said that the use of a tractor in agriculture costs an average of 4 liters of diesel per hour (the cost depends on the horsepower of the tractor). Its expenditure comes to Rs 312 per Rs 78 per liter. At the same time, CNG is estimated to cost around 180 rupees in 4 hours to run a tractor from CNG. According to an estimate, farmers will benefit from Rs 1 lakh annually.
The Ministry of Road Transport has set standards for CNG tractors. According to these tractors will be available in the market. CNG kits will be installed in the tractor, which will reduce the cost of farming.
At the time of launching the tractor, Nitin Gadkari said that like other CNG vehicles, initially it will also need diesel to start it. After this it will run from CNG.
Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari says that CNG kits are ready to be made under Make in India. He said that there are plans to convert other tools used in agriculture to BioCNG.
About 60 per cent of cars, trucks, buses and tractors in the country run on diesel. 13 percent of the total diesel consumed is used in tractors, agricultural equipment and pumpsets etc.
A diesel vehicle spreads pollution by 7-8 petrol vehicles. That is, a tractor spreads as much or as much pollution as 7-8 petrol cars, because tractors have more power than cars.

Bio-CNG will be cheaper
1 kg of BioCNG can be prepared from 7 kg of straw. It will cost about 15 rupees per kg to make it. The cost of the staple will be around Rs 10 to 1200 to 1500 tons.
In this way the cost of BioCNG will come to around Rs 25 per kg. According to the Ministry of Road Transport, CNG will be available in the market rate, but if the use of BioCNG is successful, the use will increase. After the plant is installed in place, it will become cheaper than the market in the plant.
