In this regard, a letter has also been issued by the state government regarding the salary of the employees.
Bill by 7th July
According to media reports, the state government has instructed the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of all departments to send their bills to the treasury office by the 7th of every month so that salaries can be released to the employees on time. In the letter sent to all the DDOs of Ludhiana also, it has been said that every month salary bills should be sent to the treasury office Ludhiana from 25th to 7th. These instructions should be followed immediately. Failure to do so has also been warned of strict action by the government.
Action will be taken on delay
According to media reports, the state government has made it clear in its letter that even after this, strict action will be taken against any DDO for any negligence. In a letter issued by the Finance Department of the government, it has been said that every effort is made to pay salaries to the employees on time. All the funds are collected for this, but bills are not presented by the DDO to the treasury office to get the salaries of their employees, due to which there is a delay in the salary. All the DDOs have been cleared to send the salary related bills of the employees to the department by the 7th of every month so that timely action will be taken in this regard.
