Due to the amendment in FAME II policy, more subsidy is being given on electric two wheelers than before. Earlier, a subsidy of Rs 10,000 per kWh was available on electric two-wheelers, but now it has been increased to Rs 15,000 per kWh. Due to this the prices of e-scooters have come down considerably. Vehicle companies are also running various schemes to attract customers.
These companies reduced the price
TVS has reduced the prices of its electric scooter TVS iQube. The company has cut its prices by Rs 11,250. Similarly, Okinawa has slashed the prices of its electric scooter Okinawa iPraise+ by Rs.7,200 to Rs.17,900. At the same time,
Revolt Motors has also made its RV 400 electric bike cheaper. The company has cut its prices by Rs 28,200.
Ola to bring e-scooter by July
Ola, a popular cab service provider, is soon going to launch an e-scooter in the market. Everyone including the company is excited about this. In such a situation, Ola’s founder Bhavish Aggarwal has sought suggestions from people regarding colors for his first electric scooter. In this regard, he has tweeted and asked to tell about the favorite colors. Ola Electric has already started the work of setting up its ‘Hyper Charger Network’ in Indian cities. This network will include one lakh charging points in 400 cities of India.
