On Thursday, the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information. Let us know that recently the first seaplane service has been started between Kevadia’s Statue of Unity and Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront.




This service can start in these cities

According to the statement of the Union Minister, the proposed service includes several islands of Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Guwahati Riverfront in Assam and Umranso Reservoir, Yamuna Riverfront / Delhi (Hub) to Ayodhya, Tehri, Srinagar (Uttarakhand), Chandigarh and many other tourist places. Are also included. These routes will be developed jointly by the port, shipping and waterways ministry and the civil aviation ministry. CPSE Sagarmala Development Company Limited (SDCL) has sought letters of interest (EoI) from airline companies for seaplane service.

The budget has not been fixed at the moment

according to the ministry, no budget has been fixed for this service at the moment. Right now EoI is seeing how willing the airline companies are to develop and operate the seaplane service with SDCL. After that, we will talk about the budget. Let me tell you that some time ago, Mansukh Mandaviya had talked about making more than 14 water aerodromes across the country. The scheme of Water Aerodrom is under RCS-UDAN i.e. Regional Connectivity Scheme – ‘Common Citizen of Ude Desh’.

India’s first Sea Plane Flight Service

On October 31 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the country’s first sea-plane service. This service ranges from Statue of Unity to Sabarmati. Its fare has been kept at Rs 4800 per person.
