Now taxpayers can submit both the forms in manual format to the authorized dealer till August 15, 2021. Authorized dealers have been asked to accept both the forms by August 15, 2021. Who has to fill this form
Before giving the authorized copy for any foreign remittance, taxpayers have to upload Form 15CA along with Chartered Accountant’s certificate in Form 15CB on the e-filing portal. Earlier, the deadline for submitting Form 15CA/15CB in manual format was July 15, 2021, in view of the problem with the new portal for e-filing of income tax.
Problems with the new IT portal
The new portal was launched by the Income Tax Department on 7 June. Through the new portal, the government aims to make all other compliances from return filing to more taxpayer friendly. But, the new website is facing problems from the first day of launch. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman herself had asked Infosys to fix it on priority. Infosys is the vendor developing the new tax portal.
