Indians working in UAE can get citizenship. The UAE has announced citizenship to foreign professionals and their families.
Dubai. There is good news for millions of Indians working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE announced on Saturday that it would grant its citizenship to professional foreign nationals. This step has been taken to revive the economy amid the Kovid-19 epidemic. The special thing is that citizenship will be given not only to those who work here, but also their families.
The ruler of Dubai, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the country, Sheikh Mohammed bin Al Maktoum, announced that artists, writers, doctors, engineers and scientists, as well as their families, can apply for citizenship. Even after becoming a UAE citizen, they can retain their old citizenship.

What are the rights?
However, it is not yet clear whether foreign citizens who get citizenship will also be given the same rights as the original citizens here. So far, foreigners working here only get a visa during job or work, which gets renewed. However, in recent years, visa regulations have been relaxed due to which special investors, students and professionals can stay in the country for more time.
