Good news: Noida International Airport to start land acquisition process soon; people of Delhi-NCR will benefit tremendously

A good news is coming from UP amid the crisis-ridden times of the Corona epidemic. The process of land acquisition for the second phase of Noida International Airport, the second airport of Delhi-NCR, will now start soon. The government has issued a notification for the Social Combat Scheduling SIA for the second phase of land acquisition of Noida International Airport. Gautam Buddha University has been entrusted with the responsibility of studies. The university will complete the study by June 15 and submit a report to the government.




1365 hectares of land to be acquired in the second phase

The second phase of Noida International Airport is to acquire 1365 hectares of land. It consists of 1185.69 hectares of private land owned by farmers of six villages, Karauli Bangar, Quraib, Birampur, Mundhrah, Ranhera, Dayantpur. It will be acquired, the rest is government land. The government has integrated government land in the notified area with the Industrial Development Authority.

Proposal sent to Yamuna Authority for farmers’ land

The Yamuna Authority had sent a proposal to the district administration for the acquisition of farmers’ land. After its investigation, the government was sent to issue a notification. Additional Chief Secretary Civil Aviation Department SP Goyal has issued a notification for determination of social retaliation. In addition to the consent of the farmers for land acquisition, an assessment of socio-economic impact on them, their rehabilitation, resettlement will be planned. A runway will be built on the land acquired in the second phase of Noida Airport. Apart from this, facilities for maintenance of airplanes, repair overhauling MRO will be developed.

Aim to start passenger service from the airport by 2023

It is noteworthy that in the first phase of the airport, 1334 hectares of land has been acquired in the villages Kishorepur, Ranhera, Dayanatpur, Banbariwas, Rohi, Parohi. On this, two runways will be built on the terminal building, the control tower. The airport aims to start passenger service by 2023.
